THE Chronicle’s We Mean Business campaign celebrates Oswestry’s business. This week we celebrate Teresa Sugarcraft. Teresa Jones has run a floral art and cake decoration stall at Oswestry Market for more than 30 years.
“The best bit of the job,” says Teresa, “is working with the customers, giving a personal service and expert advice. Don’t forget the cake,” she adds. “Cakes
come in all shapes and sizes, and a bespoke design doesn’t need to cost the earth.”
Increasingly, family members want to lend a hand. Adding professionally made sugarcraft toppers can turn your cake into a masterpiece.
Teresa’s store which is located at the top of the ramp at the market, has often been described as an Aladdin’s cave. You’ll find hundreds of rolls of ribbon, and stacks of cake boards in every corner.
As well as creating toppers to your design, she is a great resource for cake tin and stand hire, icing, marzipan and more.
She said: “Customer service is the most important thing. You make time for your customers and provide a service that they won’t get anywhere else.”
